"Waking Up" by Cyndi

Waking up early to see my friends
wondering what adventures lay ahead
It's 8 in the morning
we have to meet at Mr. Hirata's wall
grabbing my bike, I head out
 
We head out on our bikes and
start our races
Kyle was always the fastest
He could pedal the hardest and had the best bike
After riding around and getting all sweaty
we head home to eat some lunch.
 
Kyle's already there, eating saimin
We wait for Mary, David, and Jaren
Everyone finally arrives
We hop on our bikes and head over to Mary's
It's time for some cartoons
Smurfs, Rugrats, the Gnome Show
Cartoons were good in those days
after the morning cartoon
 
My grandpa always had something ready for me
Right when I walked through the door
It would be on the counter with my juice
After our one hour lunch break,
we start up again
We ride all the way until
the streetlights come on
Then it's time to go home
That's how it went every weekend
In our neighborhood
