I enjoy doing figure images. Unfortunately, I don't feel like there's a lot of opportunity to use them. I tend to be cautious sharing them in swaps unless I am sure there is an agreement by all parties involved. However, a dramatic nude study in black and white that more hints than shows the subject is one of my most sought-after goals.
I carved this with a combination of gouges and a hobby knife. The gouges just can't handle the find detail, such as in the eyes.
